Third Quarter Releases

Updated this week

Introduction

This quarter is full of innovations that raise the standard of security and control for your fleet. We are introducing robust features for Windows, precise improvements for Android and iOS, and tools that simplify the management of your mobile park, saving time and ensuring the security of your data. Discover how Pulsus is transforming the way you manage your devices!

Geofence: polygons, map drawing, and deactivation option

Managing your virtual fences just got easier. You can now draw fences of any shape directly on the map, ensuring maximum precision, or continue using the .csv file upload for large volumes. And to keep your environment always organized, it is now possible to deactivate unused or test fences without losing the associated event history. The result is simpler and more precise control, from the beginning to the end of the process.

Use Case: A shipping company can draw an exact polygonal geofence around an industrial complex to monitor the entry and exit of vehicles, ensuring no driver leaves the established route without permission. At the end of a project, the fence can be deactivated without losing audit data, keeping the dashboard clean.

Available for: Android.

App Blocking

Have total control over which applications can be executed. This feature allows you to select and block unwanted apps on Windows, preventing distractions, misuse, and ensuring only authorized software runs. This reduces security risks and enhances team focus.

Use Case: On a Windows Notebook used by a receptionist, you can block internet browsers or games, allowing only the use of the scheduling and internal communication application. This prevents distractions and the misuse of the device for personal purposes during work hours, increasing productivity and security.

Available for: Android and Windows.

Firewall Blocking

Protect your Windows devices against unauthorized access. By blocking specific ports in the Firewall, you drastically reduce network vulnerabilities, ensuring that only secure and essential connections are allowed. It's your corporate infrastructure's security elevated to a new level, avoiding costs associated with security incidents.

Use Case: A company with Windows notebooks in the field can block non-essential ports that could be exploited by malware or unauthorized access. This creates an additional security barrier, protecting corporate data and minimizing the risk of cyberattacks that could generate high recovery costs.

Available for: Windows.

Lost Mode

In cases of loss or theft, every second counts. With Lost Mode, you can immediately lock any compromised Windows, iOS, or Chrome OS device, display custom messages on the screen with contact information, and prevent unauthorized access. This protects your valuable data and increases the chances of recovering your asset.

Use Case: If a corporate Windows notebook is lost on a business trip, the administrator can remotely activate Lost Mode. The device will be locked, and a message with a contact phone number and a reward can be displayed on the screen, increasing the chances of return and preventing confidential data from falling into the wrong hands.

Available for: Windows, iOS, and Chrome OS.

Mass installation of the Pulsus Windows Agent via AD/GPO

For companies using Active Directory (AD), installing the Pulsus Agent on Windows devices just got even easier. Use our script via GPO to install the agent on hundreds of devices at once, in an automated and centralized way. This saves your IT team valuable time and ensures rapid implementation.

Use Case: A large company that acquires 500 new Windows notebooks needs an efficient way to install the MDM agent. Instead of installing manually on each machine, the IT team can use GPO to distribute and install the agent automatically across the entire new fleet, reducing hours of manual labor and ensuring standardization.

Available for: Windows.

Network information in device details

Get instant access to complete connected network data, directly in the details of each device. This crucial information facilitates diagnoses and speeds up remote support, allowing your IT team to resolve connectivity issues more efficiently and with fewer interruptions, increasing the productivity of the team in the field.

Use Case: A support technician receives a call from an employee in the field complaining of connection problems. With this feature, the technician can instantly see which Wi-Fi network the device is using, the IP, signal strength, and other crucial information, allowing for a quick diagnosis without needing to ask the user to check complicated settings.

Custom dates in the location report

Your need for location data is unique, and now your report is too! Choose exactly the desired period for extraction in the location report, bringing unparalleled flexibility and precision to audits, route analyses, and operational planning, supporting strategic decisions.

Use Case: A fleet manager needs to analyze the exact route of a specific vehicle last week to investigate a delay. Instead of extracting a monthly report and having to filter, they can set the exact period (e.g., from Monday to Friday of the previous week) and get the precise data needed for the audit, optimizing analysis time.

Available for: Android and Windows.

Installations API

For even more granular management, we are providing a new API that returns the versions of a specific application on all your devices. This allows for more centralized update control and facilitates compliance verification, ensuring all devices are on the correct and secure versions, reducing risks and optimizing governance.

Use Case: A company uses a critical application for its operations and needs to ensure that all 1000 Android and Windows devices are on the latest version for security and functionality reasons. Via API, it can automate the verification of installed versions and quickly identify which devices need to be updated, ensuring compliance and minimizing operational risks.

Available for: Android and Windows, iOS and MacOS.

Evolution of location capture on iOS devices

We have implemented new methods to ensure that location capture on iOS devices is even more efficient, even with Apple's policies that restrict background applications. Have more confidence in the location data from your Apple devices, essential for operations that depend on precise tracking and data-driven decision-making.

Use Case: A field team using iPhones needs to have their locations recorded consistently, even when the application is in the background. This evolution ensures that route monitoring and presence management are more accurate, providing reliable data for productivity and safety reports.

Available for: iOS.

Select all devices from all pages

Maximize efficiency with the "select all devices" feature. It is now possible to bulk-select all filtered devices, even if they are distributed across multiple pages. When selecting the current page, the option "Select all X,XXX devices" will appear, showing the exact count, covering all devices on all pages. This ensures your commands are executed with greater precision and agility on large volumes, saving time in your daily routine. For actions with operating system restrictions, the system displays a confirmation detailing which operating systems the action will be applied to.

Available for: Android, ChromeOS, iOS, MacOS, and Windows.
