This article explains how to use the application/software management feature for Windows devices. With it, you can restrict access to specific programs, increasing security and control over managed devices.

What does this feature do?

Application and software management allows you to create a list of blocked applications on Windows devices. To use it, you enable the setting, enter the application identifier, and add it to the restriction list. This way, devices with this configuration will be prevented from accessing these programs.

Prerequisites

To distribute Windows applications, the following prerequisites must be met:

  • Windows 10 and Windows 11.

  • Agent Version 1.10.27+

Accessing the feature

  1. On the platform, go to the Windows > Settings menu.

  2. Go to General Settings.

  3. Enable the application management option.

  4. Enter or select from the application list the identifier of the application you want to block.

  5. Click the “+” button to add it to the list.
