Geofence is Pulsus' virtual fence solution that facilitates device management, allowing you to apply automatic actions based on the device's geographical position and the areas you define.
Main Benefits
Asset Control: Ensure that devices stay in the areas where they were assigned, preventing loss and deviation, ensuring they are always in the right place to perform their designated functions, optimizing the operation.
Information Security and Compliance: Automatically block the device if it leaves a designated area, preventing information leakage or work outside the permitted location.
Theft Protection: Issue an audible alert on the device if it is removed from the designated area, deterring theft.

How to use Geofence
1. Creating a virtual fence
There are two ways to create a fence: by drawing directly on the map, ideal for single and custom fences, or by uploading a CSV file, perfect for creating multiple fences at once.
Method A: Drawing on the map
In the side menu, access Geofence.
Click the "+" button in the upper right corner to open the creation window.
Fill in the Title and Description fields to identify your fence.
In the "Format" field, select the type of fence you want to draw:
For a circular fence: Keep the "Circle" option selected. On the map, click on the location that will be the center of your fence and drag the mouse to define the radius (size). You can adjust the position and size by dragging the center or the edge of the circle.
For a polygonal fence: Select "Polygonal". On the map, click on the points to draw the perimeter of your area. To finish, click on the starting point again to close the shape.
After defining your fence on the map (whether circular or polygonal), click "Add" to save.
Method B: Via .csv file upload
In the fence creation window, click the "Upload de arquivo .csv" link.
Click "Download de arquivo modelo" to download the spreadsheet with the correct structure.
Fill the .csv file with your fence data (Name, Description, and GeoJSON).
Back on the platform, click to upload the completed .csv file and click "Confirm".
2. Applying fences and defining rules
In the side menu, access Settings and select the desired configuration.
Navigate to the GEOFENCE tab.
Enable the fences: In the list, activate the toggle for each fence you want to monitor.
Set the Trigger: In the "Trigger" section, choose when the actions should be triggered: upon leaving the fence, upon entering the fence, or on both events.
Configure the Actions: Check the boxes to define what should happen:
Click "Save" in the upper right corner.
3. Managing your fences
Access the Geofence menu. The "My fences" tab will display a list of all created fences.
Use the "Active fences" or "Inactive fences" filters to refine the view.
Click the pencil icon (Edit) to change the description, or the toggle to deactivate (archive) a fence.
Attention: A fence can only be deactivated if it is not being used in any configuration.
4. Viewing event logs
In the Geofence menu, click the "Logs" tab.
You will see a complete history of all entry ("Entrou") and exit ("Saiu") events of the devices in the monitored fences.
Important Tips and Observations
Location Accuracy: The effectiveness of Geofence depends directly on the quality and accuracy of the device's own location service (GPS).
Use with Lock: When configuring a device lock action, it is highly recommended that the configuration also uses the Pulsus Launcher. This ensures that the user cannot access system applications to bypass the lock.
Location will be captured every 1 minute, regardless of the group's configuration. To receive the Geofence rule, the device needs to have connected at least once after activation. Regardless of mobile data, we only need the first location to lock or unlock it. Mobile data or Wi-Fi will only be necessary to send the information to the web.
