By accessing the Configurations menu, we have access to the main screen, where all the configurations created in the base are listed, containing the following information columns:

Configurations: The name of the Configuration is informed. Right below, in detail, the total number of groups that are associated with this configuration and the total number of devices are informed.

Summary: Five icons are displayed summarizing what settings are enabled or disabled. If the icon is green, it means that the setting is enabled, otherwise the icon is gray, showing that the configuration is disabled.

Meaning of each icon, in the order they are displayed on the screen: Disable restore factory settings, Disable firmware update (OTA), Disable airplane mode, Disable file transfer via USB, and Set date and time automatically.

To access the configurations, click the configuration name. You will then see the following screen in the General tab:

The following configurations are done on this tab:

  1. Disable Reset Factory Settings: enable/disable the factory reset function on the device (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 5.1 or higher and for Fully Managed devices with Work Profile with Android 5.1 or higher);

  2. Factory Reset Protection: Restrict account for activation after factory reset. (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 5.1 or higher and for Fully Managed devices with Work Profile with Android 5.1 or higher);

  3. Disable Firmware Update (OTA): Enable/disable firmware updates (Functionality available for LG devices with API 2.1 or higher or for Samsung devices with API 3.0 or higher);

  4. Disable Airplane Mode: Enable/disable the Airplane Mode function (Functionality available for LG devices with API 2.0 or higher or for Samsung devices with API 5.0 or higher);

  5. Disable Tethering: Enable/disable network sharing with other devices (Functionality available for LG devices with API 1.0 or higher or for Samsung devices with API 2.0 or higher);

  6. Disable Screen Capture: Enable/disable the screenshot function (Available for Fully Managed devices with Android 5.0 or higher.);

  7. Disable File Transfer via USB: Enable/disable the file transfer function with a computer via USB (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 5.1 or higher and for Fully Managed devices with Work Profile with Android 5.1 or higher.) Note: Battery charge mode will continue to work.

  8. Disable Debugging Features: Enable/disable the debugging feature which is usually available on the developer mode (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Work Profile on Android 5.0 or higher);

  9. Installing applications from unknown sources: options to: allow no installation, allow installation only on the professional profile, or allow installation on any device profile (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 5.0 or higher and for Fully Managed devices with Work Profile with Android 5.0 or higher);

  10. Disable reading of physical media card (e.g.: SD card): enable/disable the memory card reading function (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 5.0 or higher and for Fully Managed devices with Work Profile with Android 5.0 or higher);

  11. Disable Data Sharing by NFC: Enable/disable the data sharing function by NFC (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 5.0 or higher and for Fully Managed devices with Work Profile with Android 5.0 or higher;)

  12. Manage System Update Policy: allows you to define how the Android operating system update will be performed (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 5.0 or higher). The following options will be available: automatic update, postpone update for 30 days, update only between: set the time;

  13. Set Date and Time Automatically: Enable/disable automatic date and time setting (Functionality available for Samsung devices with API 2.0 or higher);

  14. Force Location in High Accuracy: Enable/disable devices to capture a more assertive location (Functionality released for all models);

  15. Prevent user from adding or removing accounts: Enable/disable the feature that allows an additional account to be added or already added accounts to be removed (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 5.0 or higher and for Work Profile devices with Android 5.0 or higher and Fully Managed devices with Work Profile with Android 5.0 or higher);

  16. Force apps scanning by Google Play Protect: Enable/disable app scanning on devices. The Verify Apps checks the applications installed on Android devices in search of malicious software, before and after installation, helping to ensure that malicious applications do not compromise the corporate data (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 5.0 or higher and Fully Managed devices with Work Profile with Android 5.0 or higher. );

  17. Play Store: Allows to apply Play Store restrictions for groups without launcher: Allow all apps or only applications distributed by Pulsus;

  18. Mobile Data: define whether to keep device mobile data on, off or in a neutral state, allowing it to be modified by the user (Functionality available for LG devices with API 2.0 or higher and Available only as neutral, and off for Samsung devices with API 2.0 or higher, excluding Android GO);

  19. Wi-Fi: allows you to keep the device WI-FI on, off, or in a neutral state, allowing it to be modified by the user (Functionality released for all device models);

  20. Bluetooth: allows you to keep the device Bluetooth on, off, or in a neutral state, allowing it to be modified by the user (Functionality released for all device models);

  21. Feature Management on Android lock screen: allows you to disable some features such as cameras and notifications on the android lock screen (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 5.0 or higher and Fully Managed devices with Work Profile with Android 5.0 or higher). The feature relies on options to: disable all keyguard customizations, disable camera, disable notifications, disable unedited notifications, ignore trusted agents, and disable fingerprint sensor;

  22. VPN Management: whether or not to force VPN always on (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 7.0 or higher and for Work Profile devices with Android 7.0 or higher and Fully Managed devices with Work Profile with Android 7.0 or higher). When the VPN is not on, you can choose between: preventing network traffic or allowing network traffic.

Note: When you leave option 15 enabled - Prevent user from adding or removing accounts, in environments with Android Enterprise - it can happen that some people do not create the managed account at the activation. We recommend disabling this feature in groups where new devices will be activated.
