By accessing the Configurations menu, we have access to the main screen, where all the configurations created in the base are listed, containing the following information columns:
Configurations: The name of the Configuration is informed. Right below, in detail, the total number of groups that are associated with this configuration and the total number of devices are informed.
Summary: Five icons are displayed summarizing what settings are enabled or disabled. If the icon is green, it means that the setting is enabled, otherwise the icon is gray, showing that the configuration is disabled.
Meaning of each icon, in the order they are displayed on the screen: Disable restore factory settings, Disable firmware update (OTA), Disable airplane mode, Disable file transfer via USB, and Set date and time automatically.
To access the configurations, click the configuration name. You will then see the following screen in the General tab:
The following configurations are done on this tab:
Disable Factory Reset: enable/disable the factory reset function on the device (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 5.1 or higher and for Fully Managed devices with Work Profile with Android 5.1 or higher.);
Factory Reset Protection: Restrict account for activation after factory reset. (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 5.1 or higher and for Fully Managed devices with Work Profile with Android 5.1 or higher.);
Disable Safe Mode: By disabling safe mode, access to safe mode on the device is blocked, preventing the user from changing settings and restrictions. In groups with the configured launcher, access to safe mode is always disabled for security. (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 6.01+. Only available from the Management plan);
Disable Firmware Upgrade (OTA): enable/disable firmware updates (Functionality available for LG devices with API 2.1 or higher or for Samsung devices with API 3.0 or higher. Only available from the Management plan);
Disable Airplane Mode: enable/disable Airplane Mode (Functionality available for LG devices with API 2.0 or higher or for Samsung devices with API 5.0 or higher. Only available from the Management plan);
Disable Tethering: enable/disable network sharing with other devices (Functionality available for LG devices with API 1.0 or higher or for Samsung devices with API 2.0 or higher. Only available from the Management plan);
Disable Screen Capture: enable/disable screenshot function (Available for Fully Managed devices with Android 5.0 or higher.);
Block Use Of Microphone: Configuration that allows enabling or disabling the device's microphone. (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 5.1 or higher. Only available from the Security plan);
Control Device Volume: With this configuration, it is possible to set a standard volume for the devices. (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 5.1 or higher. Only available from the Management plan);Disable USB Transfer: enable/disable file transfer with a computer via USB (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 5.1 or higher and for Fully Managed devices with Work Profile with Android 5.1 or higher.). Note: battery charging mode will continue to work;
Disable Debugging Features: enable/disable the debugging function, which is usually available in developer mode (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Work Profile with Android 5.0 or higher.);
Installing Apps From Unknown Sources: options to: do not allow installation, allow installation only in the work profile, or allow installation in any profile on the device (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 5.0 or higher and for Fully Managed devices with Work Profile with Android 5.0 or higher.);
Disable Physical Media Card Reading: enable/disable memory card reading function (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 5.0 or higher and for Fully Managed devices with Work Profile with Android 5.0 or higher.);
Disable NFC Data Sharing: enable/disable NFC data sharing function (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 5.0 or higher and for Fully Managed devices with Work Profile with Android 5.0 or higher);
Manage System Update Policy: allows defining how the Android operating system update will be performed (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 5.0 or higher. Only available from the Pro plan). The options available are: automatic update, defer update for 30 days, update only between: set the time.
Enable Automatic Time: enable/disable automatic date and time adjustment (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 5.0 or higher and for Fully Managed devices with Work Profile with Android 8.0 or higher);
Force High Precision Location: enable/disable more precise location capture on devices (Functionality available for all models. Only available from the Management plan);
Prevent User from Adding or Removing Accounts: enable/disable the feature that allows adding an additional account or removing already added accounts (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 5.0 or higher and for devices with Work Profile with Android 5.0 or higher and Fully Managed with Work Profile with Android 5.0 or higher);
Force Verification of Apps by Google Play Protect: enable/disable app verification on devices. Verify Apps checks apps installed on Android devices for harmful software before and after installation, helping ensure malicious apps do not compromise corporate data (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 5.0 or higher and for devices with Work Profile with Android 5.0 or higher and Fully Managed with Work Profile with Android 5.0 or higher);
Play Store: Allows applying restrictions for groups without launcher (Only available from the Management plan);
Mobile Data: set whether to keep the device's mobile data on, off, or in a neutral state, allowing it to be modified by the user (Functionality available for LG devices with API 2.0 or higher and only available as neutral and off for Samsung devices with API 2.0 or higher, excluding Android GO);
Wi-Fi: allows keeping the device's Wi-Fi on, off, or in a neutral state, allowing it to be modified by the user (Functionality available for all device models);
Bluetooth: allows keeping the device's Bluetooth on, off, or in a neutral state, allowing it to be modified by the user (Functionality available for all device models);
Resource Management On Android Lock Screen: allows disabling some features like camera and notifications on the Android lock screen (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 5.0 or higher and devices with Fully Managed with Work Profile with Android 5.0 or higher. Only available from the Pro plan). The feature includes options to: disable all keyguard customizations, disable camera, disable notifications, disable non-editable notifications, ignore trusted agents, and disable fingerprint sensor;
VPN Management: force or not always-on VPN. When the VPN is not connected, the options to: block network traffic or allow network traffic can be chosen. (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 7.0 or higher and for devices with Work Profile with Android 7.0 or higher and Fully Managed with Work Profile with Android 7.0 or higher. Only available in the Pro plan);
Block Use Of Camera: Disables camera use in all situations. (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 6 or higher);
Runtime App Permissions Policy: gives administrators three options to manage all runtime permissions (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 6.0 or higher and for Fully Managed devices with Work Profile with Android 6.0 or higher. Only available from the Management plan): Enable Permission: Where permissions are automatically granted
Deny Permission: Where permissions are automatically denied
User Can Set When Prompted: Permission can be granted by the user (this is the default option).
Allow Uninstallation of Distributed Apps: prevents the uninstallation of apps distributed by Pulsus by any method. By default, the option is enabled, allowing the uninstallation of apps (Functionality available for Fully Managed devices with Android 5 or higher).
