Add a New Application (.APK)
Updated yesterday

To add a new application or a new version of an existing application to the platform, click on one of the '+' buttons in the Applications menu.

Select the option Upload App.

Drag the .APK file to the dashed location or click the browse button and locate the file on your computer. Afterwards, wait for the application to be uploaded and perform the necessary settings. Finally, click on the add button.

  1. Browse: Search your computer for the .APK file.

  2. Install only via Wi-Fi: Choose whether the application should be installed only over a Wi-Fi connection or through any available network (Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G, etc.). To toggle this option on or off, click the adjacent button.

  3. Add to the Launcher of selected groups: Decide if the application should be automatically added to the Launcher of the selected groups. To enable or disable this option, click the adjacent button.

  4. Set update window: Define the time interval during which the application will be updated. Toggle this option on or off by clicking the adjacent button.

  5. Optional App (Pulsus Agent 4.9.03+): Allows users to mark an app as optional. This ensures the app is distributed but not automatically installed. This feature is especially useful for users offering an app category with multiple options, letting device users choose which option to install. Optional apps will appear in the Pulsus Store on the device but won’t be automatically installed.

  6. Automatically open after installation (Pulsus Agent 4.9.03+): Automatically launches the app in the launcher after installation.

  7. App runtime permission policy (available only in PRO): Details all the permissions the app may request from the system. For each permission, the following actions can be configured:

    • Always Ask: The user will be prompted to grant the permission.

    • Allow: Permissions will be automatically granted.

    • Deny: Permissions will be automatically denied.

  8. Select groups: Specify which device groups will download the application. To select groups, either check the selection box or type the group name.

  9. Select groups using tags: You can also specify which device groups will download the app by selecting TAGS configured during group creation.

Note: An orange button indicates the configuration is enabled, while a gray button means it is disabled.
