The “Erase Data” command is a security feature available on the Pulsus platform that allows for the complete removal of all files from a computer, restoring the device to its factory settings.

This command can be used in specific situations that require immediate data protection or the preparation of devices for new users. Examples of use include:

  • Loss or theft of equipment, to prevent the leakage of sensitive data.

  • Employee offboarding, ensuring no company information is left on the device.

Prerequisites

  • Windows 10 and Windows 11.

  • Pulsus Agent version 1.2.8+.

How to execute

  1. Access the Pulsus Web platform.

  2. Go to the Devices section and select the desired device.

  3. In the actions menu, click on “Erase Data”.

  4. Enter the administrator password.

  5. The device will restart, and the cleaning process will begin automatically.

What the Command Does

When executed, the Erase Data command performs the following actions:

  • Deletion of all personal and corporate files present on the disk.

  • Formatting of partitions and removal of personalized settings.

  • Restoration to factory state, with Windows reinstallation.

⚠️ Attention: This action is irreversible. Ensure the device is on a reliable network and that you genuinely wish to erase all data before confirming the command.
