What is ADE?
Apple Device Enrollment is a tool for automatic mass device configuration, ideal for large organizations seeking scalable solutions.
Devices can be purchased directly from Apple or through authorized Apple resellers.
How to use ADE?
ADE devices are registered in the MDM and receive configuration settings immediately once the device is powered on. This setup reduces the need for preparing a device in a non-production environment before the device is ready for users.
However, if an ADE profile is not assigned to a device or the device cannot connect to a network, it will not be automatically enrolled in the MDM when activated. The user of an Apple ADE device cannot manually remove MDM control, which is possible on devices that are not enrolled in Apple's ADE.
How to configure?
Prerequisite: Previously configured APNS certificate.
1) Go to Apple > Integrations > ADE > Create New Configuration:
2) Select the program (Apple Business Manager or Apple School Manager) and Pulsus certificate:
3) Install the Certificate in the next step (detailed instructions are provided on the screen):
4) Associate with the desired Pulsus Group.
5) After this, all devices will be automatically enrolled each time they are registered with Apple.
