The Fully Managed Device management method is a set of solutions that allows the device to be completely managed.

This feature provides environment administrators with control over a wide variety of device settings and additional policy controls.

To set up your device using this method, you will need to first follow the configuration in this link to link your Enterprise account.

After configuring the Enterprise account, the administrator can follow these steps to configure a fully managed device with Android Enterprise.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 80% battery level;

  • Pulsus agent version 3.8.0+;

  • Device with previously assigned Google account removed and factory reset, or new device that has not gone through the Google account linking screen;

Factory reset initial device settings, ready for use. When prompted with the Google account login screen, enter the activation token:

afw#pulsus.mobi

After entering the activation token, the activation procedure with Android Enterprise profile starts.

You must have an active network connection or be on a Wi-Fi network at all times.

Click accept and continue to authorize the Pulsus MDM Agent.

Below you will be able to see some screens that you will find in the activation process, which may vary according to the device model.

Once the steps above are completed, Android starts with the launcher defined for the group to which the device has been subscribed.

After granting all the permissions, as shown in the images above, the device will be ready to receive apps and the remaining settings.

Another way to activate Fully Managed is through a QR code. This procedure can be performed on new devices or devices formatted with Android 7+.

This action will activate the Device Owner on the device and it will have Fully Managed management status in the environment.

With the device in hand and still on the home screen, press around 5 times for the camera to open and we can read the QR code.

Then, the system will allow the Wi-Fi to be connected. From this moment on, the activation process will be the same as we saw earlier for the activation via token.

In this link, you will find a video demonstrating this activation method.

The QR code is updated according to the Pulsus Agent version. Send an email to [email protected] to receive the latest version of the QR code.

Note: This activation, whether via token or QR code, will create a managed account on the device. This account does not allow any backups to be made. Therefore, we recommend that you add a secondary account so that devices can back up some apps, such as WhatsApp, for example, if desired.
