Add Applications to the Launcher

Updated yesterday

To add applications to the launcher, access the Launcher menu and select the launcher to be changed, as in the example below:

Applications:
In this block, all applications that were added to the base through upload in Applications are listed, as well as unmanaged applications, for which the user provided the ID and package name in the launcher settings. These applications can be used by the device groups configured with this launcher. Therefore, these will be the applications that will be displayed on the devices' screen or in the background.

Remember: Only applications previously distributed to the device group will be displayed on the screen.

To add an application to the launcher, simply drag the desired application from the Applications block on the left of the screen to the dashed area of the "Drag here to add to the launcher" block.

Adicionar aplicativos em background (segundo plano):
Applications that can be used in the background by the configured device groups are added to the "Applications in Background" block.

Background applications can be accessed by other applications but are not displayed on the device's screen, as they only run in the background. For example, by allowing Excel to run in the background, the user can open a spreadsheet from an email or other applications, but cannot open the application directly from its icon.

To add an application in the background, simply drag the desired application from the "Applications" block to the dashed area of the "Drag here for Background Applications" block.

This way, the application's package ID will be displayed in the "Applications in Background" block.

After every change to the launcher, we must click the "Save" button.

Create folders in the launcher

It's possible to organize applications into folders within the launcher, making the screen cleaner and grouping related apps.

How to create a folder

  1. In the launcher editor, click the "New" icon next to the device preview screen.

  2. A modal window called "New Folder" will open.

  3. Enter the folder name and click "Save".

  4. The folder will appear at the bottom of the launcher screen, identified by a yellow folder icon.

Add applications to a folder

  1. Click on the created folder.

    • This will switch the right-side area to the folder's editing mode, showing its name and the space to add applications.

  2. Then, drag the desired applications from the "Applications" block (on the left of the screen) into this side area.

  3. The added applications will be listed just below the folder name.

Edit or delete a folder

  • To rename, click the pencil icon next to the folder's name.
