Launcher Settings

Attention: Some views are only available starting from the PRO plan.

Let's understand how the options available within the launcher settings work.

These options allow us to better manage certain device features.

See below what each option is used for and how to enable it.

Status Bar: Formerly Notification Bar. When the status bar is locked, access to GPS and Wi-Fi settings will be unavailable. On the lock screen, this feature will be available for Samsung (with API) running Android 8 or lower, and other models running Android 6 or lower.

Screen Brightness: Allows managing the screen brightness of devices when the notification bar is locked.

Bluetooth Management: Aims to make the Bluetooth manager available on the device launcher. Available only on devices with Pulsus agent 3.9.00+

Wi-Fi Manager: Aims to make the Wi-Fi manager available on the device launcher. Available only on devices with Android 10+, active Device Owner, and Pulsus agent 3.9.50+

Hotspot/Tethering: Allows internet sharing starting from Pulsus agent 4.9.06+

Lock Screen (Appears when Status Bar is deactivated - Advanced Launcher): Aims to provide an alternative to the native Android lock screen, making it possible to prevent access to device settings and restrict interactions on the lock screen. This option does not work on Android GO. On some devices, it is only possible to lock the notification bar using the lock screen. Therefore, when locking the notification bar, the lock screen will be activated automatically.

Pulsus App Store: Hide/show the "Pulsus Store" app on the device. In the "Pulsus Store" app, you can view the list of apps linked to and managed by the group to which the device belongs—that is, apps installed via Pulsus. You can also check which apps have been installed, which are pending installation, and perform the action to reinstall apps.

Working Hours: Here you can enable or disable the operating hours settings for apps associated with the launcher (available only on the PRO plan).

Driver Mode: Allows enabling or disabling driver mode settings, whose function is to allow or block access to apps depending on the speed (km/h) at which the user/device is traveling (available only on the PRO plan).

Background Options

In the section on the right side of the screen is the "Background Options" tab, where the following settings are available:

Background Color: If you choose not to use a background image, you can configure the launcher's background color.

Text Color: Configure the text color (title) of the apps associated with the launcher.

Background Image: You can hide/show a background image on the launcher.

If the admin chooses to hide the background image, the background will consequently use the color configured in "Background Color". If the user chooses to display it, you can locate an image on your computer to add as a background image—simply click the "Change Image" button and select the file.

Note: The image size will depend on the device's screen resolution. Ideally, the height should be greater than the width to render correctly on the device.

Background Apps: This option allows you to save certain apps that will not be displayed on the launcher screen, but can be accessed if requested, as they will run in the background.

Example: The camera remains in the background so it can be accessed at a specific moment within an app, but it is not available on the launcher for access at any time.
