Administrator Guide: User Registration (Manual, CSV, and IdP Integration)

The management of who has permission to access company assets is controlled exclusively in a centralized manner by the administrator in the Pulsus web panel. For corporate security and governance reasons, employees cannot register themselves directly through mobile devices.

Below, see the available methods to populate and manage your user base.

Method 1: Manual User Registration

Ideal for isolated inclusions, registrations of new employees in the company, or for conducting tests in controlled environments.

  1. In the Pulsus web panel, click on Users in the left side menu.

  2. In the upper right corner of the screen, click the [ + ] button.

  3. In the Basic Data tab, fill in the required fields identified with an asterisk:

    • Name: First name of the employee.

    • Surname: Surname of the employee.

    • Username (Alias): The unique term that the employee will enter on the cell phone to log in. The recommended pattern is first.last name (e.g.: jose.silva).

    • Password: Define the user's initial numeric or alphanumeric password.

      • Note: If you want to create an Inventory User (only for internal control purposes and without physical access), uncheck the corporate password option. The system will display a reminder indicating that this profile will not be able to log in to corporate devices.

  4. In the Complementary Data tab (optional), insert additional information to enrich your base and refine report filters, such as: Email, ID Number, Unit, Department, Cost Center, Position, and Phone.

  5. Click Save.

Method 2: Batch User Import (CSV File)

Developed to streamline the onboarding of companies that need to register large volumes of employees when starting production operation.

  1. In the Pulsus panel, access the Users menu in the side menu.

  2. Click the [ + ] button and select the Upload .CSV file option.

  3. Click the Download model file link to download the official model spreadsheet provided by the platform.

  4. Open the downloaded spreadsheet, fill in the corresponding columns with your employees' data, and save the file keeping its format. Mandatory columns follow the same pattern as the interface, with first name, last name, username, and password (for authenticated users) as required fields.

  5. In the panel, click to select the filled file on your computer and confirm the upload.

Resource Differences Between Plans (Essentials vs. PRO)

How your logins and access data are managed varies according to the plan contracted with Pulsus:

All Plans

  • What's included: Available natively for all Pulsus customers.

  • How it works: Employee registration and the generation of field access passwords are done directly in the native Pulsus panel database (manualmente or via CSV spreadsheet). The employee will use this specific Pulsus credential to access mobile devices.

PRO Plan

  • What's included: Supports direct integration of Pulsus with the client's own corporate Identity Provider (IdP), such as Active Directory (AD), Azure AD (Microsoft Entra ID) or Google Workspace.

  • How it works: Enables single login or Single Sign-On (SSO). The end employee will access the mobile device using the same corporate username and password they already use on their work computer or internal company network, simplifying IT management and eliminating the need to manually reset passwords in the MDM panel. SSO integration requires prior configuration by the Pulsus Onboarding team (contact us for more information).
