The activation and parameterization of authentication policies in Pulsus occur centrally through Device Groups. This ensures scalability and flexibility, allowing you to implement the feature gradually by sector, branch, or shift.
Step-by-Step to Activate Authentication
To enable the login screen on your mobile device park, follow the steps below:
Access the Pulsus web panel with your administrator credentials.
In the left side menu, click on Groups.
Select the device group that will receive the policy and click on Edit (or click in the upper right corner to Create Group).
Within the group settings, navigate to the User Authentication section and switch on the Enable Authentication key.
Below the key, define the complementary operational rules (Multi-users and Keep Data), as detailed below.
Click Save to apply the settings to the group.
Device Behavior Settings
A. Multi-users
How it works: By activating this option, the platform begins to support the sharing of the same physical device by multiple employees sequentially. When an employee finishes their work, they perform a logoff directly in the mobile application, immediately returning the device to the login screen for the next colleague to access with their own account.
Indication of Use: Essential for operations that function on scale or rotating shift regimes (such as transport fleet drivers, store attendants, field technicians, or health professionals on duty), eliminating the need to purchase a device for each employee.
B. Keep Data (Cache and Privacy Control)
This configuration defines what the system will do with the device's files and cache when a user performs a logoff (exit) from their session:
Key Activated (Keep Data): Upon exiting, all local files, history, and application data remain recorded and accessible on the device. When the next employee logs in, they will find the device in the same state left by the previous user.
Key Deactivated (Automatic Cache Clearing): Upon logging off, the Pulsus platform automatically performs a total cleanup of cache and data for all corporate applications installed on the device. The next employee who logs in will receive a completely clean environment, without traces of the previous user's session.
⚠️ Important Technical Note: This cleaning routine is focused on work applications to ensure data privacy and compliance with the LGPD; it does not perform a factory reset (Wipe) on the cell phone hardware.
Recommended Deployment Sequence
To ensure an uninterrupted activation process and avoid urgent technical support calls, strictly follow the recommended onboarding order below:
1st Step — Activate Authentication in the Group: Configure the active authentication key in the desired group within the panel, before adding any actual production device to it.
2nd Step — Register Users: Register or import all authorized employees into the Pulsus panel, ensuring they have active passwords (if they are Authenticated Users).
3rd Step — Move Devices to the Group: Finally, associate the physical devices with the configured group.
⚠️ Important Warning: If you associate a cell phone with a group with active authentication without first having registered the corresponding employees in the system, the device will immediately lock on the Pulsus login screen without the user being able to bypass it.
