This functionality allows you to control the use of Bluetooth on Windows devices, defining whether it should remain off, always on, or under end-user control.
Prerequisites
Windows 10 and Windows 11.
Agent Version 1.10.27+.
Use Cases
Enhanced security in sensitive corporate environments: Companies dealing with confidential data (such as financial institutions or government agencies) can choose to block Bluetooth completely. This prevents users from connecting external devices, such as Bluetooth headphones, keyboards, mice, or flash drives, which could be vectors for information leakage or unauthorized access to the corporate network.
Guaranteed connectivity on field or IoT devices: For teams that use essential Bluetooth peripherals for work (e.g., barcode readers, portable printers, or industrial sensors), it is possible to keep Bluetooth always on. This configuration ensures operational continuity, preventing failures caused by accidental resource shutdown.
Controlled freedom in mixed-use environments: In scenarios like universities, coworking spaces, or shared devices, the neutral option allows for a balance between control and autonomy: the administrator imposes no restrictions but maintains visibility over Bluetooth usage via the Pulsus platform.
How It Works
The configuration is applied remotely through the Pulsus platform, which sends the Bluetooth policy to the associated Windows devices.
Access: Windows Menu → Settings → General → Bluetooth
Choose one of the options:
Off: disables Bluetooth and prevents the user from reactivating it.
Neutral: allows the end-user to control Bluetooth (Default).
Always On: keeps Bluetooth active permanently.
